Welcome to the University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) and Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Therapeutic Advisory Service (TAS) website.

The website provides information on all new products that have been requested by consultants since the formation of UHL in 2000. The site provides the user with the decision reached by TAS regarding the request, and the background on how and why decisions were made regarding the products UHL support. Members of the public and NHS employees can search (under approved name) for drugs approved for use within specific indications. In addition, if you are a UHL consultant or GP practice prescribing lead you can apply for new products using the web site new product request form and receive feedback via the web on your application. There is also the opportunity to feedback on decisions made by TAS.

Request Drug Submission

Before requesting a new drug please complete the New Drug Funding Application Form available here. UHL consultants will need to submit this to their Clinical Business Unit Board and Medical Lead and obtain support for funding before completing the online request.
